There’s a family connection on Ottawhat? this week; we were joined on the show by Amaan’s brother, Shawn Bashir. He’s an electrical engineering student at the University of Ottawa who was in France last month for an engineering challenge put on by Valeo.

Tune in to find out more about his team’s project and how they fared in the competition. In case you’re not tired of hearing about Elliot Lake on an Ottawa-based podcast, we talk more about the Bashirs’ hometown as well. Shawn also taught us about a few cool places in and around uOttawa.

We love getting your feedback on the show, leave us a message on Facebook or Twitter, or review the show on iTunes, and we’ll read the best comments on the show.

This week we featured the No. 9 Winterbrewed Coffee-Amber, an amber ale brewed with a blend of Bridgehead coffee. It’s the first of four beers you can find in their holiday pack at the brewery in Vankleek Hill, or at an LCBO near you!
